Can you help send our boys to the Sanix World Youth Invitational Tournament in Japan?

This prestigious tournament, taking place 29th April – 5th May, will this year include the Exeter College Exeter Chiefs Academy side.
Selected to represent England Schools & Colleges, they will battle it out amongst 16 other international teams, over 10 days to be crowned winners of what is deemed to be the pinnacle of the sport in age grade rugby.

Held in late April on the island of Kyushu and hosted by the Japanese Rugby Football Union, the event will decide
which team is the best in the world.

Exeter are delighted to have been selected to attend. Last selected in 2009, this is the 4th time a challenge has been mounted
by the team from SW England. Previous notable names to have taken part in the tournament include Dave Ewers, Ben Moon and Sam Hill. Without doubt it showcases the next generation of exceptional talent. As winners of the country’s college’s league last
season, it is expected that the team will fly the flag for England with aplomb.

How much does it cost to attend?

Accommodation and food in Japan is supported by the organisers. The cost of sending a squad of 29 players and 5 coaching staff is expected to be £40,000 to cover flights, transfers and playing kit. We hope that you will join us in supporting the team to raise funds to get them to Japan, in the pre-World Cup year, to represent their country.

How you can help?

We are looking to raise funds to support the costs associated with this once in a lifetime opportunity and need sponsors to support our endeavours. Every pound raised will fund our players in Japan and ensure they can represent Exeter and England to the best of their ability. We recognise that with your help we can make this happen.

We also need your support in other ways. As sponsors we want you to be part of our team.  We will provide dedicated messages of support for your business from Japan and will ensure you’re updated on our progress every step of the way. You will also get an invitation to our fundraising dinner to be held in 2018. We won’t lose sight of those that help us we will do all we can to recognise your support.
